Early Times Report JAMMU, July 31: To celebrate World Ranger Day & to promote the Duggar Folk Culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production, presented its 446th Regular Series Dogri Musical Play "VEER JAWAN" at Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu today. The Musical play was written, produced and directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The Program was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Govt. Health Department Jammu. Among the guest of honor present were Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director , Health Department J&K Government. Among the guest of V.K. Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Romesh Chander, Advisor, Shavshat Art Gallery & Mukesh Singh Senior Media Person. The chief guest said this programme was organized to highlights the World Ranger Day is celebrated worldwide on July 31st , to commemorate Rangers killed or injured in the line of duty and to celebrate the work Rangers do to protect the planet's natural treasures and cultural heritage. The lyrics of the songs sung were "Uncha Rahe Trianga", "Babul Da Vehda Choot Gaya", "Mera Bharat Desh hai Sathiyo Sab desho se Payara", "Sarfroshi ki tamana ab humare dil mai hai ", ''Jammu Sada Dogra Da Sheaer", special skits & dances prepared on the occasion. The artists of BLSks presented theme based songs written by Dr. M.L. Dogra & the music was the composed by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, Blsks. The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples. Earlier welcome address of M.L.Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS said that the whole country is celebrates this day, Around the globe, park rangers are on the front line in the fight to protect our natural heritage. World Ranger Day offers a chance to support their vital work, which ranges from environmental campaigning to education. The day is also an opportunity to pay tribute to rangers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The first World Ranger Day took place in 2024, the date represented the 32th Anniversary of when the IRF was founded. IRF stands for the International Ranger Federation. This organization was founded in 1992. Dr. Dogra also said Jammu and Kashmir has the distinction of having multifaceted, variegated and unique cultural blend, making it distinct from the rest of the country, not only from the different cultural forms and heritage, but from geographical, demographically, ethical, social entities, forming a distinct spectrum of diversity and diversions into Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh, all professing diverse religion, language and culture, but continuously intermingling, making it vibrant specimens of Indian Unity amidst diversity. Its different cultural forms like art and architecture, fair and festivals, rites and rituals, seer and sagas, language and mountains, embedded in ageless period of history, speak volumes of unity and diversity with unparalleled cultural cohesion and cultural service. The singers, musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were Usha Raina, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Chahat Chadha, Rahul Kumar, Paramjeet, Renu Bala, Afroz Aalam, Naiya Digra and many others presented the enthralled performance at last of the programe Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
