GDC Udhampur organizes with Intra-College Poster and Painting Competition

UDHAMPUR, Aug 3: In honor of the 77th year of India's independence and to pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed for the nation's liberty, Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur is hosting a series of events under the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign. One of the highlights was an intra-college poster-making and painting competition, where students expressed their emotions and admiration for the nation's heroes through their art.
The event, held under the guidance of the esteemed Principal, Dr. Sanjay Verma, showcased the students' creative talents. In his opening remarks, Dr. Verma praised the students for their artistic skills and their ability to convey profound messages through colors.
The competition, themed "Indian Struggle for Freedom," was coordinated by NSS Programme Officers Dr. Gurpreet Kour and Prof. Sanjeet Singh. They briefed the Principal on the competition's rules and theme. The jury, comprising Dr. Shobhna Sambyal, Dr. Shivi Mehra, and Dr. Rajesh Manhas, evaluated the entries.
The winners were as follows:
1st Position: Sumit (B.A.)
2nd Position: Taniya (B.Sc.)
3rd Position: Rahul (B.A.)
