Panchari, Aug 5: LFO-BHF (NGO) in collaboration with Talla Jewellers successfully conducted a cleanliness drive in Panchari, bringing together local officials, students, and volunteers for a day dedicated to community and environmental well-being. The event was graced by Swati Sheemar (IAS), Tehsildar Panchari, Vipan Kumar (JKAS), Tehsildar Panchari, and Jasvir Singh, DDC Panchari Moungri. Also in attendance was Navneet Sharma, Range Forest Officer, Panchari. A diverse group of around 80 volunteers, including NSS volunteers from GCW Parade, GCOE, and SMPR College, as well as students from GHSS Panchari, Himalayan Public High School Panchari, and New Star Public School Panchari, participated in the drive. Sanjeev Singh from the Horticulture Department Panchari also lent his support to the initiative. This drive collected total waste of 854kg. Speaking at the event, Mr. Vivek Parihar, Director & CEO of the NGO, expressed his gratitude towards the participants and emphasized the importance of community involvement in maintaining cleanliness and environmental health. While Speaking with Mr. Samar, Environment Domain Incharge, echoed these sentiments and highlighted the need for sustained efforts to protect the environment. The drive included various activities such as waste collection, segregation, and disposal, aiming to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness about cleanliness and hygiene among the participants and the local community. |
