| GDC RS Pura hosts Intra -College Quiz Competition | | |  Early Times Report
RS PURA, Aug 8: Department of Political Science and History of GDC R.S. Pura jointly organized a Quiz competition on "Freedom Struggle and National Heroes" within the college premises for the celebration of 77th National Independence Day on Thursday under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the college.
During the competition a online questionnaire was shared with the students to test their knowledge and understanding about India's Freedom struggle and its Unsung Freedom Heroes. In this Quiz 50 students of the college participated. Among the participants, Jhanvi Majotra, Tanisha Choudhary and Bishaka Sharma were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner of the compitetion.
The observers of the team were Dr. Savtenter Kour, HOD History and Dr. Rakesh Choudhary, HOD Political Science, and Prof Vijeeta Anand, Assistant Professor Pol. Science. The Principal of the college shared her valuable words with the students and said that the struggle of our freedom fighters are the source of inspiration to us as they teach the value of love for the country and always worked for the betterment of the nation behind the scene. She lauded the efforts of the organizing team and the students. The faculty members namely Dr. Neena Gupta, Dr. Kiran Pathania, Dr. Harpreet Kour, Prof. Neelam Kumari, Prof. Jai Mala Thakur, Dr. Savleen Kour and Dr. Roopali Salathia also were part of the proceedings of the competition. |
