Police of cracks down on illegal mining: Seized 7 vehicles | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Aug 10: In a decisive action to curb illegal mining, District Police Kishtwar, has seized seven vehicles involved in unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals. The vehicles seized include 05 tippers and 02 Mahindra pickups, all of which were being used in violation of the law. District Police Kishtwar developed a specific information related to transportation of illegal mining in the district. On this information a naka was established led by SHO PS Kishtwar under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Kishtwar at Shalimar and seized the vehicles involved in illegal mining trade in the district. SSP Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, issued a stern warning to those engaged in illegal mining, urging them to cease their activities immediately. He emphasized that the police are fully committed to taking stringent action against anyone found violating the law. The community is also encouraged to report any illegal mining activities in their vicinity, with the assurance that the police will respond with strict legal measures against offenders. This proactive approach underscores the J&K Police unwavering commitment to preserving the region's natural resources and upholding the law.
