ADGP Jammu visits CTC Sunjwan, inaugurates 21-day Commando Tactics Course

JAMMU, Aug 10: Anand Jain, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, today visited the Commando Training Centre (CTC) in Sunjwan and inaugurated the 21-day Commando Tactics Course. The course is designed to enhance the operational capabilities of police personnel through rigorous training in jungle warfare and advanced commando tactics.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, IPS, was accompanied by DIG JKS Range Sunil Gupta, IPS, DIG Trainings Sarah Rizvi,IPS and S.O to ADGP Jammu Vishal Manhas, JKPS.
Upon his arrival, ADGP Jammu Anand Jain, IPS, was warmly received by the senior officers of the CTC Sunjwan which include CO IR 14th Bn. SSP Abrar Choudhary, JKPS, Deputy CO Sanjay Sharma IR 14 ,JKPS and a team of officers of 14th Bn. During the visit, he inspected the facilities and interacted with the trainees, emphasizing the significance of the training in counter-insurgency and anti-terror operations. He highlighted the crucial role such specialized courses play in preparing the police force to tackle emerging challenges in the region.
In his inaugural address, ADGP Jammu Shri Anand Jain, IPS, praised the dedication of the officers and the quality of training being imparted at the CTC. He encouraged the trainees to fully utilize this opportunity to sharpen their skills and enhance their tactical knowledge. He also reiterated the importance of mental and physical fitness in ensuring successful outcomes.
ADGP Jammu Anand Jain, IPS, also lauded the efforts of the CTC Sunjwan staff and trainers for their unwavering commitment to excellence. He expressed confidence that the participants, upon completion of the course, would be better equipped to handle the complexities of counter-terrorism operations. He awarded a cash reward of Rs 5,000 each, along with Commendation Certificate Class-I, to five officials serving as Drill Instructors at CTC Sunjwan as a source of encouragement and motivation.
