Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi Leads BJP Election Manifesto Convention in Kupwara
8/11/2024 8:59:57 PM
Early Times Report

Kupwara, Aug 11: In a significant move ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, National Executive Member of the BJP and Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, chaired the Election Manifesto Convention of Kupwara district at Handwara. The event saw the participation of key BJP leaders, including former MLC Surinder Ambardar, North Kashmir Prabhari Anwar Khan, Kupwara District President Javed Qureshi, Trehgam Constituency President Syed Rafiq Shah, and BJP ST Morcha Chief Spokesperson Salem Chowdhary.
Representatives and delegates from various blocks and constituencies within the district attended the convention, contributing to the finalization of the party’s manifesto for the upcoming elections. During the event, multiple delegations from the district met with Dr. Andrabi and her team to share their perspectives on the manifesto.
In her address, Dr. Andrabi emphasized that the BJP is fully prepared for the upcoming elections in J&K, with grassroots cadres being actively mobilized. She described the BJP manifesto as a “vision document” that will guide the holistic and equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting public feedback and the aspirations of the people for a peaceful and progressive region.
Dr. Andrabi praised the BJP cadres and leadership in Kupwara for establishing the party as a credible alternative to traditional parties, whose sentimental rhetoric, she claimed, has only exploited the people of J&K. She reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to its mission of “Viksit Jammu & Kashmir and Viksit Bharat,” ensuring that the benefits of progress and development reach every citizen equitably.
BJP District President Javid Qureshi also provided an overview of the party’s activities and achievements in the district over the past years.
