IMS Jammu organizes five day MBA induction ceremony -- Arambh 2024

JAMMU, Aug 12: Institution of Management Sciences, Jammu inaugurated ARAMBH'24, a five-day induction program for MBA students, commencing from 12th of August 2024. The event began with a warm welcome, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting by Director IMS, Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, and our esteemed guest speaker, Suneet Mehra, Senior Manager of Sales & Marketing at Sarveshwar Foods Ltd, Jammu (J&K), India. This symbolic act represented the dispelling of darkness and the beginning of a journey toward knowledge and enlightenment.
In her address, Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, emphasized on the transition of students from student life to professionals and the significance of the next two years in shaping their futures. She highlighted the various opportunities that will be available to students during their MBA course and urged them to utilize them for their growth and development. The Guest Speaker of the Day -- Suneet Mehra, an experienced Senior Management Professional and Harvard Certified Next Generation Manager, engaged the students with an insightful session titled "MBA: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Growth." He emphasized the importance of both professional and personal development, urging students to focus on soft skills. The interactive session included discussions on SWOT analysis, converting weaknesses into strengths, and career counseling. The inaugural session ended with a Vote of Thanks by Asst Prof Gurshish Kour.
In the second segment, Er Divya Jamwal, Coordinator of the Management Department, introduced the subjects for MBA students She also outlined essential rules and regulations regarding attendance, uniform, discipline, and the student council, ensuring that students are well-informed as they begin their academic journey. The day also featured an "Ice Breaking" activity, "Know Thy Partner," which aimed to enhance participants' interpersonal skills through interactive observation and presentations.
The first day of ARAMBH'24 set the tone for the exciting and enriching days to follow, as students embark on their MBA journey.
