BLSKS celebrates ‘International Youth Day 2024’

JAMMU, Aug 12: To celebrates the 'International Youth Day', Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, in coordination with and Sangam Tru Art Production , presented its 450th Regular Series Dogri Musical Play ( Nukkad Natak ) "EKTA EKTA KA DIYA" at Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu today. The Musical play is written, produced and directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The Program was inaugurated by the chief guest V.K. Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. Among the Guest of Honors were, Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Govt. Health Department Jammu, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K Government, Romesh Chander, Advisor, Shavshat Art Gallery & Mukesh Singh Senior Media Person graced the function. The Chief Guest disclosed that programme was organized to highlight the International Youth Day is celebrated annually on 12 August to bring youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrate the potential of youth as partners in today's global society. The lyrics of the songs sung were "Mil Ke kaho hum ek hai", "Veer Jawano", "Uncha Rahe Trianga", "Mera Bharat Desh hai Sathiyo Sab desho se Payara", "Sarfroshi ki tamana ab humare dil mai hai", "Har Ghar Tiranga", ''Nashe kola Bacho", special skits & dances prepared on the occasion. The artists of BLSKS presented theme based songs written by Dr. M.L. Dogra & the music composed by M.C. Kotwal, Secy. Blsks. The program was also recorded & uploaded online on Social Media for benefit of the peoples.
Earlier in welcome address Dr.M.L.Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS explained the International Youth Day, we celebrate the boundless energy, innovation, and potential of young people as they are the architects of tomorrow, the leaders of change, and the driving force behind progress. They play a significant role in building the nation. They are the future that will represent us everywhere. Let us harness our collective power to address global challenges like climate change, inequality, and poverty. We must embrace diversity, foster inclusivity, and promote peace. Let us be agents of positive change, inspiring and empowering others. Young people can be the agents of change. It is our duty and responsibility as individuals to provide them with opportunities to learn, grow and develop their talents. Remember, the future belongs to you. So, dream big, work hard, and never give up. Together, we can build a better world for everyone. Dr. Dogra also said the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has been flagged from 9 to 15 August 2024 this connection with the 78th Independence Day on 15 August 2024. "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign that started under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to unfurl the Tiranga at home and to glorify India's Independence.
M.C. Kotwal, Secy, BLSKS said Youth is the time of life when one is young. The word, youth, can also mean the time between childhood and adulthood (maturity), but it can also refer to one's peak, in terms of health or the period of life known as being a young adult. this day is very special as it is about the young people. Youth is the future of the world as they have lots of energy and big ideas. They can do amazing things, solve complex problems, create new things and make the world a better place. But, they also need support and with the right support, they can change the world for the good and also informed to the media the Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presented every year more than 200 Musical Plays cum awareness Cultural Shows to promote the culture of India and awareness programs on Prevention of Aids, Water Sanitation, National Integration, Rural Development, Drug Abuse, Cleanliness and Save the girl Child. The singers, musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed in the musical play were Usha Raina, Rajni Gupta, Sudesh Manhas, Chahat Chadha, Sanjeev Kumar, Renu Bala, Naiya Digra and many others presented the enthralled performance. Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks for successful conduction of the program.
