JKMEF condemns tragic incident at RG Kar Medical College | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation held an emergent meeting today under the leadership of Sh. Sushil Sudan, President of the Federation and member of the Pharmacy Council of India. In the meeting the recent tragic incident of rape and murder of a female PG doctor at RG Kar Medical College in West Bengal is strongly criticized. Federation members strongly condemned the inhumane and brutal act committed against the doctor. They expressed deep concern over such incidents occurring in a state led by a woman Chief Minister, Miss Mamta Banerjee. The Federation stands in solidarity with the medical fraternity and the family of the deceased doctor in their pursuit of justice. All employees of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Employees Federation extended their support to seek fair justice in this inhuman act. Sushil Sudan urged the Government of West Bengal to take Stern action against the culprit and all those who are involved in this bone chilling, brutal, and heinous crime . The Federation calls upon to take stringent measures to ensure the safety and security of medical professionals specially female staff across the country so that better patient care should be bestowed to the Patient and fearless work atmosphere should be created at work place.
