Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 21: The National Development Foundation in collaboration with the School Education Department and UNICEF India organized a Child Rights Symposium at Government Higher Secondary School, Dablehar, Jammu; it aimed at raising awareness among students and teachers about Child Rights and Protection. The Symposium saw enthusiastic participation from students, delivering compelling speeches on Child Rights and Protection. Gayatri, Juhi Verma & Gagandeep Raj, stood Ist, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively, while the consolation prizes were bagged by Mannu and Komal Verma. The certificates were distributed among all the participants. The principal of the School Irvinder Kour was the chief guest on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, she assured to undertake all the measures for Child Protection. She added that regular guidance and counseling are provided to students to ensure their mental health and protection. Dr. Romesh Kumar, Sr. Lecturer Psychology/Counselor also sensitized the Children on Child Rights, mental health, and various national helplines. Shivani acted as stage secretary while, Ritu Bhagat Lecturer, Shweta Uttam Sr. Lecturer & Madhuri Khajuria Sr. Lecturer judged the participants.
