GDC, Kathua celebrates 1st National Space Day-2024 | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Aug 23: In honor of India's maiden National Space Day-2024 with the theme "Touching Lives while Touching the Moon: India's space Saga", the Department of Physics, Govt. Degree College, Kathua has organized an educational quiz competition. The event aimed at fostering a deeper appreciation and understanding of space science among the students. The principal of the college, Prof. Seems Mir encouraged the students to participate in such type of activities which increase their curiosity in scientific pursuits and are of great importance for their future. The in-sights of the event were highlighted by Dr. Dinesh Jasrotia, Head of the department. The National Space Day has been celebrated at GDC, Kathua to unfold the India's remarkable achievements in space, profound benefits to the society and boundless opportunities for people from all walks of life. The event technicalities were legitimated by Prof. Ravinder Kour, IQAC, Coordinator, Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Convener and Dr. Neeraj Gupta, Co-convener of the programme. Around hundred students of Physics Department participated in "National Space Day Quiz" with the aims to ignite curiosity and deepen their knowledge in space exploration and India's remarkable achievements and contributions in space science. The event was organized under the mentorships of Dr. Ahsan Elahi, Prof. Ajay Sharma and Dr. Daya Ram of the physics department. The successful participants received the certificates of participation digitally signed by the Chairman, ISRO. |
