Conclusion of Sanskrit Week in Central Sanskrit University

JAMMU, Aug 23: Sanskrit Week celebrations were successfully concluded at Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir Campus, Jammu. During this week long program from August 16 and August 23, various events were organized in the context of Sanskrit and culture. Chief guest Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Orthopedic Specialist of Government Medical College, Jammu expressed his views on the current status of Sanskrit language. He said that Sanskrit is the most ancient language which makes humans understand humanity. Special Guest Miss Sujata Khera, Manager of State Bank of India, Kot Branch said that Sanskrit enhances our values. In his Presidential address, acting Director of the campus, Prof. Satish Kumar Kapoor said that Sanskrit is our heritage which we should be proud forever to speak about and put into practice. Along with this, he also emphasized the role of Sanskrit in maintaining human qualities and intimacy in life.
The closing ceremony was started by lightening the lamp by the guests. Dr. Anay Mani Tripathi of Veda Department reverently did the invocation.
Dr. Rajkumar Mishra welcomed the guests and presented the report of Sanskrit Week in front of the audience. He said that Sanskrit songs, shlokas, subhashit recitation, essay writing, quiz and speech, painting competitions, etc. were organized for the students. Prizes were distributed to the winning students in various competitions in the valedictory program. Himachali Nati dance was also presented by the students of the Education Department of the campus.
On this occasion, Dr. Rishiraj, Dr. Pramod Kumar Shukla, Dr. Madan Kumar, Dr. Shweta Sood, Dr. Sarvesh Tripathi, Kamal Kishore, Dr. Naveen Tiwari, Maninder Singh, Dr. Praveen Mani Tripathi, Dr. Vipin Bihari Dubey, Dr. Sujit Pandey, Dr. Prakash Chandra Yadav, Dr. Ashish Kumar, campus employees and students were present. Technical support in the program was provided by Dr. Vivek Bharti, Akhil Sharma, Tirupati Bala and Manoj Abrol. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Yogendra Dixit. The program was conducted efficiently by Dr. Harishankar Pandey.
