WAKNAGHAT, Aug 29: The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, has further solidified its partnership with Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram. This collaboration, which began in April 2022, took a significant step forward with the signing of a Supplementary MoU-II on August 20, 2024.
Under the initial MoU, MEI provided JUIT with Factory Automation (FA) Learning Setups and a Robotic Arm Setup, enhancing the university's hands-on learning capabilities. The new agreement includes the provision of Single-Phase and 3-Phase Motor Setups along with a Simulation Kit, further advancing the practical training resources available to students in the ECE department.
Dr. Pardeep Garg, a faculty member and Coordinator of the Factory Automation (FA) Lab from the ECE department, represented JUIT during the MoU exchange programme. The event was hosted by MEI at their Pune facility from August 20-21, 2024. A key highlight of the event was MEI's official announcement of JUIT as their 10th Authorized Training Center (ATC) partner, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two institutions.
As part of the two-day event, MEI organized a visit for all ATC partners to their manufacturing plant located in Telegaon, Pune, on August 21, 2024. This plant is integral to MEI's operations, where various advanced equipment is produced, offering participants a firsthand look at the cutting-edge technology and processes used in the manufacturing industry.
The enhanced partnership with MEI and the designation of JUIT as an Authorized Training Center underscore the university's commitment to providing industry-relevant education and training to its students.
