The delegation raised several pressing civic issues impacting the city, emphasizing the need for immediate attention and action. During the interaction, Sh. He urged the Commissioner to ensure urgent repairs of the damaged roads and manholes to prevent any accidents or untoward incidents. The Chamber team also expressed concern over the malfunctioning street lights in many areas of Jammu. They called for swift repair efforts on a war footing to restore proper lighting in the city's streets, ensuring public safety, especially during nighttime. Another significant issue raised by the delegation was the growing problem of stray dogs in certain areas, which pose a threat to residents, particularly children. The Chamber requested immediate action to address the stray dog menace, ensuring their prompt removal when complaints are received. Additionally, the Chamber team pointed out that certain individuals frequently file complaints against the business community on various pretexts. They further requested that Smart City funds be allocated to new areas where improvements are more urgently needed. In response, the Commissioner of JMC assured the Chamber that all issues raised during the meeting would be addressed promptly, and efforts would be made to avoid unnecessary disruptions for the business community. The meeting was attended by key Chamber office bearers, including Anil Gupta (Senior Vice President), Rajeev Gupta (Junior Vice President), Manish Gupta (Secretary General), and Rajesh Gupta (Treasurer). |
