Jammu, Sept 7: Teachers Day is in important occasion celebrated in many countries to honour the contributions of teachers in shaping individual lives and Society. In India it is celebrated on September 5th, marking the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a renowned philosopher, scholar and India's second President. He was a firm believer in education as a means of transforming society and his birthday was closen to celebrate the work of educators. Dr Shreyansh Kumar Jain, State Yoga Commissioner, Chairman Indian yoga Association and President Vichar Kranti Manch International, explained about the importance and significance of teachers day on recognition recognition of teachers role: Teachers Day acknowledges the critical role of teacher in developing students intellectual and personal growth, shaping their character and important values. Tribute to mentorship: it honours teachers as mentors, who guide, inspire and support students throughout their learning journey. The light was threw on appreciation and gratitude from students towards teachers. Promotion of education, it was highlighted the importance of education in building a progressive and just society. Inspiration for future educators was also explained about. Overall Teachers Day celebrated at Gayatri Shakti Peeth, Janipura, special pooja was performed by Shri Nandkishor Mandal, State Parivrajak Gaytri Shaktipeeth. Vedic Preacher Sh Avtar Krishan koul, state Deputy Regional Officer, who is also a promoter of knowledge of Vedas and ancient scared texts of Hinduism, hold profound importance in day to day life for individuals seeking Spiritual, Moral and Practical guidance. Mr koul was honoured as a Spiritual teacher, incidently it was also 72nd birthday of Mr Koul, Dr Jain composed life sketch in poetry, which was presented to him.
