JAMMU, Sept 7: As a part of Swacchta Pakhwada, the NSS units of GGM Science College organized nukkad natak (street play) to raise awareness about critical social issues including drug abuse, cleanliness, and literacy. The event, which took place on September 6 and 7, saw active participation from students, faculty, and the local community.
The first day's theme, was the Drugs and Cleanliness: A Path to a Healthier Community," that brought attention to the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of cleanliness in fostering a healthy society. The next day, focus shifted to "Literacy and Cleanliness," highlighting how education plays a pivotal role in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
The whole even was arranged under the able guidance of Principal of the College Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, who addressed the audience on both days, stressing the importance of fighting against drug abuse, promoting cleanliness, and advocating for literacy as essential steps toward building a responsible and progressive community.
Students delivered thought-provoking performances, using the medium of street theatre to engage the audience.
