Early Times Report BARNOTI, Sept 7: Under the aegis of Sahodaya School Complex, Jammu, an innovative Inter-School Best of E-Waste competition was held at the R60 Auditorium of Kartar Public School, Barnoti. The event aimed to inspire creativity and raise awareness about the importance of recycling and repurposing electronic waste among students. The chief guest for the event was Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Advisor Kartar Education Trust Barnoti and Retd. Add. Secretary of the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL). Special guests included Vivek Arora, Principal of Delhi Public School Rajbagh, and Seema Sambyal, Principal of Holy Presentation Convent School, Rajbagh. They were joined by the school's management team, including Chairman Er. Nirmaljit Singh, Principal Harpreet Kaur, Vice Principal Neeraj Thakur, and Administrative Officer Upender Bandral. In his opening remarks, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn congratulated the participants for their impressive presentations of creative models made from electronic waste. He lauded the initiative as a joint effort of the Sahodaya School Complex, Jammu, and praised Kartar Public School for its dedication to organizing such significant activities, providing a platform for students to showcase their hidden talents. Vivek Arora, Principal of DPS Rajbagh, also praised Kartar Public School for the excellent arrangements made in the state-of-the-art R60 Auditorium and commended the active participation of the schools in the competition. He acknowledged the efforts of the faculty, management, and students for making the event a success. The Vice Principal of Kartar Public School, Neeraj Thakur, in her welcome address, emphasized the importance of events like the Best of E-Waste competition, stating that they help instill creativity and environmental consciousness among students. In a highly competitive atmosphere, MV International School Samba emerged as the first-place winner, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua secured the second position, and Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu was awarded the third prize. Additionally, three consolation prizes were awarded to: Army Public School Samba Tiny Scholars School Logate Morh, Kathua Army Public School Jammu Cantt The program was hosted by Kanika and Jasdeep Kaur, students of Class 9, while Miss Dhamanpreet Kour delivered the vote of thanks. The jury panel for the competition included Miss Amandeep Kaur, a nationally renowned Art & Craft artist, and Muskan Mahajan. Participating schools included Army Public School Samba, DAV College Kathua, Tiny Scholars School Logate Morh, Army Public School Jammu Cantt, Jammu Sanskriti Schools from Jammu and Kathua, St. Peters Jammu, Army Public School Damana, Holy Presentation Convent School Rajbagh, MV International School Samba, Indian Public School, Kidzee Kathua, Delhi Public School Rajbagh, and Mount Litera Zee School Kathua.
