Early Times Report REASI, Sept 7: Today, Pardeep Kumar Yadav, IPS, Police Observer for District Reasi, chaired a high-level Election preparedness review meeting at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines (DPL) Reasi. The meeting was convened in connection with the forthcoming General Elections to the Legislative Assembly (GELA)-2024 to ensure a smooth and secure electoral process. The meeting was held in the presence of General Observer for 56-Gulabgarh (ST) Constituency, Saroj Kumar Sethi, IAS, and General Observer for 57-Reasi & 58-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Constituencies, Avi Parsad, IAS. The focus was on reviewing and enhancing security protocols, logistical arrangements and infrastructure at the strong rooms, with an emphasis on fortifying measures against potential security threats and to provide a cordial, hassle free atmosphere to the voters. SSP Reasi, Gaurav Sikarwar, IPS, gave a comprehensive presentation on the current security arrangements in place for the election. The PowerPoint presentation outlined the preparedness of law enforcement agencies and the strategies adopted to ensure the smooth,free and fair conduct of the elections. The meeting was attended by Nisar Mohamad, Commanding Officer 126 Bn CRPF, Sh. Satish Kumar Singh, Commandant CISF Unit OHTPP and other officers from District Police and CAPFs. The discussions focused on ensuring robust security measures and maintaining high vigilance throughout the election period to mitigate any potential risks. The meeting underscored the commitment of all stakeholders to ensure a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
