The event highlighted the bridging of the gap between the private sector and the education community, symbolizing how businesses can play a crucial role in supporting educational initiatives. Distinguished attendees included AM Group Chairman Jatinder Gupta, Managing Director Sanjay Mahajan, and Directors Ankur Mahajan, Akshay Mahajan, and Shailja Mahajan. Their presence underscored the importance of the event and reflected AM Group's deep-rooted commitment to family values and community engagement. As part of this special celebration, AM MG Jammu introduced a unique initiative: a test drive experience for educators, transporting them from Delhi Public School to the French Door Store. Upon their arrival, the teachers were greeted with bouquets and treated to an array of French delicacies, including pastries and croissants, making them feel appreciated for their dedication. The day also featured cultural performances, fun-filled activities, and a personalized tour of the latest innovations in the automobile industry at the AM MG showroom. This initiative by AM MG Jammu demonstrates the company's commitment to recognizing the significant role teachers play in shaping society. Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Mahajan expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming response from the teachers. In her remarks on the occasion, Kunwrani Dr. Ritu Singh extended heartfelt wishes to the entire teaching community, expressing her deep appreciation for their pivotal role in nurturing young minds and building the nation. I wish all teachers a very Happy Teachers' Day and thank them for their selfless contribution to society." Earlier during the day, the celebration commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom. The teachers were honored with traditional tilak, dhol beats, gratitude cards, and heartfelt touching action songs presented by the tiny tots of Class II. The school choir also sang a mesmerizing song in honor of their teachers. Retro dance performances by students of Classes II & III, and mixed-style dance performances by students of Classes IV-XI captivated the attention of the audience. The flute performance by Vardhaan Singh (V-F) and an energetic dhol performance by Aadhar Sawhney (VI-H) and Vatsalya Gupta (IX B) added energy to the event. Akshi Tandon of Class XI received a thunderous applause for her special dance performance. The icing on the cake was the humorous qawwali performance by primary, middle, and senior wing students, bringing immense joy to the audience. Additionally, teachers who achieved 100% results in their subjects were felicitated, acknowledging their outstanding contributions to the students' academic achievements. A surprise dance performance by Ms. Sheetal Chalotra and the younger students left the audience spellbound. Head Boys, Prasan Sharma and Momin Adnan, and the Head Girls, Myra Nagrota and Samiksha Rai, expressed their deepest gratitude for the teachers for their dedication. The members of the newly inducted student cabinet, along with students of Classes XI & XII, stepped into the shoes of teachers, ensuring the smooth flow of activities and assisting with various responsibilities. Their leadership exemplified their dedication to upholding the values of the school. A speech honoring Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was delivered by Priyal Gupta (VII-A), while the entire program was well-compered by Samanyuv (X J) and Somanshi (VIII J). Principal, DPS, Ruchi Chhabra, delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the vital role of teachers in nurturing young minds and shaping the future. The gathering was also addressed by Meenu Gupta, Headmistress, DPS Jammu, Ravi Kotroo, Headmaster, DPS Jammu, and Umesh Sharma, Chief Coordinator and Deputy Headmaster. House Master & Vice House Master- Ganga House, Activity Teachers, and Coordinator/Supervisor: Dr. Gurmeet, Kumari Twinkle, Shalini Pradhan, Sheetal Chalotra, Ritu Dogra, Joy Paul, Jacob Mattoo, Anil, Reagan, Daniel, and Anu Bali ensured a flawless execution of all programs. |
