| Police arrested bootlegger with illicit liquor | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Sept 8: Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, District Police Udhampur have arrested 01 bootlegger in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Basantgarh.
Police Party of PS Basantgarh while performing Patrolling duty near Shiv gali area apprehended one person namely Yaspal S/O Hem Raj R/O Balota Upperla moving towards Shiv Gali from Basantgarh side who was turning to be suspicious as he tried to move fast on road after seeing Police party. During checking/frisking of said person, 50 quarters of illicit alcohol were recovered from his possession and the accused has been arrested on spot.
In this regards, a case FIR No. 22/2024 U/S 48(A) Excise Act stands registered at PS Basantgarh and investigation of case ongoing. |
