RS PURA, Sept 10: Career Counseling / Guidance and Placement cell in collaboration with EBSB club of Govt. Degree College, R.S. Pura Jammu organized a career counseling session on the topic "Various Career Aspects in Future" on 10th September 2024 under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, worthy Principal of the College. The resource person of the event was Mr. Dushiant Kumar, Head Counselor DIT University, Dehradun.
The event started with the welcome address by Dr. Shivani Manchanda, HOD, Economics. Mr. Dushiant Kumar gave an insight of various career opportunities available to students after graduation. In a detailed power point presentation, he elaborated the scope of various courses like MBA, MFA, PG Diploma/ Masters in Event Management, Journalism and communication. Masters/ PG Diploma in Digital Marketing, Mobile App Development, various graduation courses in IGNOU etc. He motivated the students to thrive for marketing specific skill courses so that they become confident enough and job ready after graduation. The lecture was attended by a large number of students who patiently listened to the lecture with great enthusiasm and actively participated in question session after culmination of the lecture. Worthy Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour also highlighted the importance of career counseling session which helps them to analyse their strength and develop strategy to achieve academic and career course.
The program ended with the motivational words by Convener, Career Counseling Cell, Dr. Neeru Sawhney. The program was attended by members of Career Counseling Cell, EBSB and other faculty members of the college.
