BJP betrayed State by outsourcing jobs, mining, other vital resources: Rattan Lal
9/11/2024 10:26:51 PM
Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Sept 11: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), strongly condemned the recent statement by a senior BJP leader who leveled serious allegations against the National Conference and Congress, accusing them of looting the resources of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to reporters during the nomination filing massive rally of Alliance candidate Rajesh Pargotra at Vijaypur, the senior NC leader countered these claims, stating that the BJP leader, who hails from outside Jammu and Kashmir, is unaware of the real facts. He stated, "It is not the National Conference, but the BJP that has deceived the people of Jammu and Kashmir by draining the region's priceless resources through various tactics including outsourcing the same by favouring non-locals." He highlighted that ever since the BJP came into power, it has facilitated the entry of the mining mafia and the contractor mafia into Jammu and Kashmir, further pushing the region into economic hardship. The leadership of BJP is frustrated and feared from the holy alliance of NC- Congress.
Rattan Lal further elaborated, "Under BJP's proxy government, local contracts have been handed over to outsiders, local jobs have been given to non- local, land has been sold to non-local, and even the mining contracts have been outsourced to people from outside the region." He also reminded BJP about the recruitment scams which surfaced under the proxy Govt of BJP in the Union Territory which seems to be a great set back to the hard working youth of J&K. He criticized the BJP for depriving the local population of opportunities that rightfully belong to them, leading to a growing sense of alienation and frustration. The senior NC leader slammed the BJP for having no concrete roadmap for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. "In the last ten years, the BJP has looted the resources of Jammu and Kashmir, leaving the region economically weaker than ever before," he said. He pointed out that unemployment is all-time high, industries are on the verge of closure, and the economy, which was the backbone of the region, has been systematically destroyed by the BJP's directionless policies.
Accusing the BJP of relying on "false and hollow development slogans" to garner votes, Rattan Lal Gupta said, "The people of Jammu and Kashmir are well aware of the damage BJP has caused. It is time to reject their false promises and restore dignity to the region."
Rattan Lal Gupta made a fervent appeal to the people of Vijaypur to vote and support the Alliance candidate in the upcoming Assembly elections, stating that it is time to bring about real change and rebuild Jammu and Kashmir's economy, better future and corruption free.
