POONCH, Sept 22: District Election Officer (DEO) Poonch, Vikas Kundal convened a crucial meeting with Nodal Officers from all three assembly constituencies of Poonch—Surankote, Haveli, and Mendhar—to review the final preparations for the upcoming elections. The meeting, which included Returning Officers (ROs), sector magistrates, and heads of surveillance teams, focused on strategies to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.
During the meeting, the DEO received detailed updates from the ROs regarding the measures implemented to ensure a fair election environment. Key issues discussed included monitoring the potential influence of cash, liquor, and other inducements that could sway voter decisions.
