| Ramban police Registers 42 FIRs, arrests 41 bovine Smugglers | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Sept 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators under Operation KAMDHENU, Ramban Police under the supervision of SSP Ramban Sh. Kulbir Singh- JKPS has foiled bovine smuggling attempts, registered 42 FIRs arrested 41 bovine smugglers, rescued 554 bovines and seized 41 vehicles in last four weeks. Police Station wise detail of FIRs registered at various Police Stations of District Ramban during the last four weeks is as:
1. Police party of Police Station Batote headed by SHO P/S Batote intercepted/seized 11 vehicles, registered 11 cases, arrested 09 accused persons and rescued 127 bovine animals.2. Police party of Police Station Chanderkote headed by SHO P/S Chanderkote intercepted/seized 10 vehicles, registered 10 cases, arrested 10 accused persons and rescued 120 bovine animals.
3. Police party of Police Station Ramban headed by SHO P/S Ramban intercepted/seized 13 vehicles, registered 13 cases, arrested 10 accused persons and rescued 155 bovine animals.
4. Police party of Police Station Ramsoo headed by SHO P/S Ramsoo intercepted/seized 03 vehicles, registered 03 cases, arrested 03 accused persons and rescued 21 bovine animals.
5. Police party of Police Station Banihal headed by SHO P/S Banihal intercepted/seized 03 vehicles, registered 03 cases, arrested 03 accused persons and rescued 15 bovine animals.
6. Police party of Police Station Gool headed by SHO P/S Gool intercepted/seized 01 vehicle, registered 01 case, arrested 01 accused person and rescued 05 bovine animals.
7. Police party of Police Station Dharamkund headed by SHO P/S Dharamkund arrested 01 accused person, registered 01 case, and rescued 05 bovine animals which were being taken towards Kashmir on foot.
As a result,a total of 554 bovine animals were rescued under operation “KAMDHENU” in last four weeks. |
