| GDC R S Pura celebrates nss foundation Day | | |

R.S Pura, Sept 24: To commemorate the NSS Day, NSS unit of GDC R. S Pura organized a one day event on 24th of September 2024. Every year, NSS day is observed on September 24 across the Nation. The National Service Scheme was launched in 1969, the birth centenary of Mahatma Gandhi. In the Day long activities a NSS Orientation and Awareness programme was organized in the college premises. The programme formally began with the lamp lighting ceremony followed by a cultural programme. A lecture on cleanliness derives and poems on NSS day various dance performances were delivered by NSS volunteers. The whole event was conducted under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour, Principal of the College.While speaking on the occasion, she congratulated the NSS volunteers and organizing committee for celebrating the day with full zeal, enthusiasm and fervor.
She exhorted that NSS is a special program for the overall development and personality of the youth and the NSS Volunteers. The whole event was co-ordinated by Dr. Chanchal Angral , NSS (PO). Other faculty members who made the event successful were Dr. Shivani Manchanda, Dr. Akriti Parihar, Dr. Hari Singh and Dr. Savleen Kour. Other faculty members present in the event were Dr. Rajinder Sharma, Prof. Shifali Abrol , Dr. Neeti Chibber, Prof. Jugal Kishore and Dr. Renu Sharma. At the end a formal votes of thanks was delivered by Dr. Chanchal Angral NSS, PO and refreshment was served among all the participants. |
