Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Sept 26: Union Minister for Social Justice and leader of the Republican Party of India (RPI), Ram Das Athawale on Thursday said over 90 percent of terrorism has been eradicated after the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
"More than 90 percent terrorism has been eradicated after Prime Minister Narendra Modi abrogated Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir", Athawale told media persons in Srinagar on Thursday.
Jammu and Kashmir is moving forward and various developmental works are going on after the abrogation of Article 370, the President of RPI, an ally of National Democratic Alliance (NDA), said.
He alleged that the National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, and Congress have "destroyed" Jammu and Kashmir and "betrayed" the people besides spreading separatism. Athawale said Prime Minister Modi has assured that the statehood would be restored to Jammu and Kashmir. The Republican Party has fielded four candidates from Rajpora, Baramulla , Sonawari, and Gulmarg segments of Kashmir valley, Athwale said adding if any candidate of the party wins the election will support the BJP Government.
He said his party will promote tourism, build hospitals, roads, and bridges and will address the issue of electricity bills besides providing jobs to unemployed youth and fight against the drug menace in Jammu and Kashmir. He said his party would rehabilitate the youth who did not want to join militancy.
Athawale appealed to voters to elect their candidates in the Assembly elections.
