Srinagar, Sept 28: The J&K Throwball Association, in collaboration with RP School Lawaypora, successfully hosted friendly throwball matches at the school’s premises, attracting over 50 female students. This event was part of the "Throwball for Health" initiative launched by the Throwball Federation of India, aimed at promoting the health benefits of sports. Principal Mr. Shabir Ahmad emphasized the importance of engaging in physical activities, urging students to participate in sports rather than relying on mobile games and online platforms. His interaction encouraged the young athletes to embrace a more active lifestyle. Sahil Ali, representing the J&K Throwball Association, extended gratitude to the school management and Physical Education staff for their support. He also announced that trials for the upcoming Throwball National Championship, scheduled to take place in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, in October 2024, would soon be held. This event not only fostered sportsmanship but also highlighted the importance of physical health among youth. |
