Early Times Report

SRINAGAR, Oct 4: The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has launched two groundbreaking initiatives aimed at strengthening access to legal aid for marginalized and vulnerable communities across India.
These initiatives include, NALSA’S Toll-Free Legal Aid Helpline (15100) and the NALSA’S Legal Services Management System (LSMS) Portal, which provides easy, accessible, and free legal aid to those in need, aimed at bridging the gap in access to justice for all citizens.
NALSA Toll-Free Legal Aid Helpline (15100), 24x7 helpline provides free legal advice and information to anyone in need, regardless of their background or financial situation. Citizens can dial 15100 from any phone in India to connect with qualified legal professionals and get answers to their legal queries, and the most important point is that it operates 24/7 in multiple languages to ensure accessibility for all.
This helpline offers immediate support and guidance, ensuring no one faces legal challenges alone.
NALSA Legal Services Management System (LSMS) Portal is the online portal that provides a user-friendly platform for citizens to access various legal aid services offered by NALSA.
Through the LSMS portal, individuals can register for legal aid, track their case status, and find information on relevant legal services.
These initiatives are a vital step towards achieving mission of ensuring access to justice for all, by providing a toll-free helpline and an online platform, District Legal Services Authorities under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority and J&K Legal Services Authority are breaking down barriers and empowering the vulnerable to access the legal assistance they deserve.
The NALSA Toll-Free Helpline and LSMS Portal are crucial tools for promoting access to justice for all. These initiatives will significantly improve the quality and reach of legal aid services across India.
DLSA Srinagar urges all individuals, especially those facing legal challenges, to take advantage of these free services.
