Agencies NEW DELHI, Oct 10: Pinegrove School, Solan's U-19 Girls' Soccer team etched their name in the sands of time, when they were crowned as the CBSE National Champions for 2024, triumphing over all CBSE schools countrywide and abroad. The CBSE National Tournament was hosted by R. M. K. Residential Senior Secondary School, Chennai. Northern Cluster winners Pinegrove, trounced the UP-cluster CBSE winners, Step By Step Noida, in a thrilling final, with a decisive score of 2-0. Delhi Cluster winners, Modern School Barakhamba finished 3rd. Additionally, Pinegrove School's Anahad Kaur, was adjudged as the "Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament" for her outstanding performances and remarkable shot-stopping abilities. She conceded only one goal throughout the Tournament. The Executive Director of Pinegrove School, Capt Aj Singh, says that, "This is an exceptional achievement of a very rare kind, especially for a Co-Ed Boarding school, which has a relatively smaller strength of girls, compared to All-Girl Boarding Schools and other Co-Ed Day schools in large cities. This achievement truly etches Pinegrove School's name in the annals of sports excellence, which adds to the fantastic CBSE board results the School produces, year after year, and couples it with the highest quality of discipline as well.
