Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 12: The Navratra Service Camp conducted by the J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides took place from 3rd to 12th October 2024 at Holy Mata Vashino Devi Katra. This camp was likely held during the Navratra festival, a significant religious event, to provide assistance and service to pilgrims visiting the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra. Rovers and Rangers offered various services like helping, manage crowds, food distribution etc. The Service camp took place under the supervision of Mtr. Nasreen Khan (State Secretary cum Administrative Officer) and Prof. Dr. Renu Nanda (State Commissioner Ranger). There leadership likely played a key role in organizing and overseeing the services provided by the Rovers and Rangers during the pilgrimage, ensuring that the volunteers were able to assist the devotees effectively. Rovers and Rangers rendered their services at various locations in Katra, including the Bhawan, railway station, and bus terminal. The contingent was welcomed at the Central Office of SMVDSB Katra on October 4, 2024, by Shri Anil Charak, JKAS (Tehsildar SMVDSB Katra).
