On October 10, 2024, under the visionary leadership of Prof. (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, the Department of General Surgery conducted an awareness campaign at Central University Jammu. Faculty and students participated in discussions about breast cancer, including its risk factors and the various treatment options available today. Participants were also informed about self-examination techniques for early detection.
The campaign featured a discussion with experts from AIIMS Vijaypur, Jammu, where attendees had the opportunity to ask questions that were expertly addressed by the faculty members, including Dr. Maria Kapoor, Dr. Sushma Devi, Dr. Varun Dogra, Dr. Julie Singh, and Dr. Suneha Kumari. Dr. Vinay Bhagat (Senior Resident) and Dr. Shubham (Junior Resident) were also part of the delegation from AIIMS Jammu.
