Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Oct 15: A five-day Refresher/Orientation Course for officers and officials of the Crime Branch, Jammu and Kashmir, kicked off today at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA). The program, designed to enhance investigative skills, saw the participation of 18 officers from the Crime Branch. The course is tailored to address the specific needs of Crime Branch personnel, focusing on critical topics such as the evidentiary value of FIRs, financial literacy, insurance frauds, counterfeit currency operations, land mafia activities, DNA evidence, the use of Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kits, cybercrime, and cyber forensics. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor), who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, Gupta welcomed the participants and underscored the vital role the police play in protecting society, conducting investigations, and safeguarding lives and property. He emphasized that continuous skill development is essential for improving investigative practices and urged participants to engage actively throughout the course. The course also features distinguished guest speakers, including Shri Ajay Bandral, Advocate, and Shri Rahul Pandit, Director of Ideogram Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Jammu, along with experienced police officers who will share their expertise on various subjects. The program is being coordinated by Inspector Tilak Raj, with assistance from Head Constable Randeep. |
