BJP's impressive performance in J&K a testament to PM Modi's vision: Rohiin Chandan
10/15/2024 11:12:44 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 15: Jammu and Kashmir people have written a new chapter of history in recent assembly polls; this was stated by BJP District Secretary and Media Prabhari Jammu South Rohiin Chandan. He hailed the party's impressive performance in the recent J&K assembly polls as a resounding success of PM Modi's vision and a "historical moment" where the BJP emerges victorious with a mandate of 29 seats in the assembly election. This impressive win is a testament to the people's faith in the BJP's ideology and its vision for Jammu and Kashmir's growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
According to Rohiin Chandan, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have written a new chapter in the state's history, and this victory is a significant milestone in that journey. The BJP's focus on development, good governance, and inclusive policies has resonated deeply with the people, and this mandate is a clear indication of their trust in the party.
Rohiin Chandan's statement comes on the heels of the BJP's intensive campaigning in the union territory, with top leaders like Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressing rallies and promoting the party's "Sankalp Patra" for Jammu and Kashmir. The party's commitment to making Jammu and Kashmir an industrial hub has also resonated with the people.
Rohiin asserted that the BJP's success is a result of the unwavering efforts of our dedicated party workers, the undisputed leadership of PM Narendra Modi, and our commitment to inclusive growth in the region. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the aspirations of every citizen in Jammu & Kashmir are met and that the region continues on its path to peace and prosperity, he said.
Chandan further remarked on the significant progress made by the BJP, underscoring the party's growing influence in the region. In the 2024 elections, the BJP secured 29 seats out of the 62 it contested, marking an increase of four seats compared to its performance in 2014. The party's vote share also rose by 2.66 percent, from 22.98 percent in 2014 to 25.64 percent in 2024, surpassing the National Conference's 23.43 percent vote share. The BJP's ability to mobilize a larger voter base, growing from 3.55 lakh votes to a total of 14.62 lakh votes, underscores its expanding appeal and strengthened foothold in the state. He strongly condemned the Congress party's tendency to blame Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and the Election Commission after every election result. Chandan dismissed these claims as baseless and unrealistic, pointing out that it's become a habit for the Congress party to cry foul whenever they lose elections. It's clear that the BJP is confident in the Election Commission's ability to conduct fair elections, and Chandan's statement reflects this confidence.
