Early Times Report BHADERWAL, Oct 16: Municipal Committee Bhaderwah conducted a major enforcement operation here today, seizing 17 kg banned polythene bags. The MC team also recovered ?1000 fine from the defaulters during the drive which was part of a larger effort to enforce the guidelines of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and tackle the increasing pollution problems impacting the region's water bodies. The drive was conducted under the direct supervision of Executive Officer Ravi Saini. The EO emphasized the importance of adhering to the regulations issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee, highlighting the urgent need to address the deteriorating condition of local water bodies. He also urged the public to shift towards using eco-friendly alternatives like cloth or jute bags to help maintain a cleaner environment. Several key officials, including Arshad Kagazghar, Randhir Singh, Sajjad Ahmed, Heema Begum, Waseem Raja, Berjesh Yogi, Mohd Yaseen, and Mohd Ayaz, actively participated in the enforcement drive. |
