JAMMU, Oct 22: Shri Ram Sena (SRS), led by President Rajiv Mahajan, has formally requested Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to reinstate the traditional Darbar Move process starting this year.
The Darbar Move, a century-old practice, involves the biannual shifting of government offices between Srinagar, the summer capital, and Jammu, the winter capital. This tradition has been instrumental in addressing the administrative needs of both regions and ensuring equitable governance.
The SRS's appeal underscores the significance of this practice in fostering accessibility and responsiveness to the public's needs across Jammu and Kashmir.
