Jammu, Oct 22: The National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM) organized a school-level painting competition at Shining Star High School in Muthi, Jammu, aimed at raising awareness among students about the importance of environmental conservation and natural resources. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students, who expressed their creativity while highlighting the need to conserve forests, water, and other vital environmental resources. Principal Rachna Goswami emphasized the significance of such initiatives in promoting environmental awareness among students. The school staff, including Anjali Bhat, Reeta Koul, Nisha Sharma, and Vishali Sharma, actively supported the event. At the conclusion of the competition, certificates were distributed to participants by R.S. Thakur, Project Director of NILM J&K. He remarked, “These competitions are designed to instill a positive attitude in children towards their surroundings and environment,” praising the students for their passionate involvement. The event successfully fostered a sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation among the young participants. |
