ANANTNAG, Oct 22: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) of Anantnag, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Anantnag, organized a free health camp specifically for drivers and transport workers. This initiative aimed to enhance the well-being of drivers by providing essential health services, including vital eye examinations crucial for road safety. The event drew a significant turnout of drivers and transport workers, who benefited from free medical consultations and vision tests, alongside guidance on maintaining good health while on the road. This camp is part of MVD’s ongoing efforts to ensure that drivers are physically fit to operate vehicles safely. Dr. Showkat Bhat, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Anantnag addressed participants during the event, highlighting the importance of adhering to road safety measures. He provided key safety instructions such as avoid Rash Driving, avoid using Mobile Phones while Driving and other Safety Precautions such as Drivers were advised to regularly maintain their vehicles, use seatbelts, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, and follow all traffic rules to minimize accident risks. The MVD and CMO Anantnag reaffirmed their commitment to promoting road safety and driver health, announcing plans for similar health camps in the future. |
