KATRA, Oct 24: The NSS unit of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) in Katra organized a food preparation event at the Government Primary School in Kakryal village to educate students about balanced diets. NSS volunteers arrived with raw materials and equipment, working in groups to prepare various dishes, including green vegetables, poori, boondi raita, and halwa. After the cooking session, the volunteers served the meal to students and teachers, who expressed their joy at the special offering. The event, coordinated by volunteers Sadhvi Sharma and Abhishek Sharma, lasted approximately three hours. NSS coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar was present, and school authorities thanked the NSS team for their efforts.
