Early Times Report DODA, Oct 24: In alignment with the Government of India's initiative to create a drug-free society, JKSPYM SLCA J&K organized a one-day training program for Master Volunteers in Doda as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA). The event took place at the Community Hall in Doda and was conducted in collaboration with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, and the district administration. The program was graced by the presence of Tariq Parvaiz Quizi, District Social Welfare Officer, along with other officials, who addressed the rising trend of substance abuse among the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Quizi encouraged the master volunteers to fully engage with the training and enhance their knowledge on the issue. The training began with an introduction to the JKSPYM organization by Program Director Pallavi Singh. Around 55 master volunteers participated in professionally designed sessions that covered critical topics, including the consequences of drug use, the district-level Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, intervention strategies, and the roles and responsibilities of volunteers as Nasha Mukt Bharat leaders.
