Shiv Sena demands to declare Jammu permanent capital of J&K | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 30: Jammu should be declared the permanent capital of the state immediately to end the era of discrimination and injustice against Jammu, stated by Manish Sahni, president,Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit. In a press conference organized at Jammu party office today, state chief Manish Sahni said that Jammu has always been ignored in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, till date no one from Jammu division has been able to reach the post of Chief Minister. The BJP, which won a historic victory in 2014 in the name of discrimination, despite having a share in the government and the post of deputy chief minister , the interests of Jammu were ignored Along with this, the focus of the former and current central governments also remained Kashmir-centric. In the year 2022, the Delimitation Commission also did not do justice to Jammu. Jammu, which was entitled to 50 assembly seats, had to be satisfied with only 43 seats. At the same time, Jammu is also facing the brunt of the discontinuation of the Darbar Move tradition in 2021. Sahni said that Jammu has got nothing but deceit, betrayal and hollow promises. Sahni has demanded from Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to declare Jammu as the permanent capital in the upcoming assembly session. Sahni said that Jammu is better from the security point of view. The Northern Command Headquarters of the Indian Army is also in Udhampur of Jammu division. By declaring Jammu as the permanent capital, the functioning of the administration and secretariat will not be affected by any kind of weather. This is sure to give impetus to business along with the development of Jammu and tourist places. Sahni said that Jammu could not get a Chief Minister in the last 78 years, but Omar Abdullah can take a historic decision, declare Jammu as the capital and succeed in making a place in the hearts of the people of Jammu.
