UDHAMPUR, Oct 30: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Udhampur celebrated the closing of "Diwali with MY Bharat" by organizing community service initiatives at KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital and supporting traffic management at Jakheni Chowk, Udhampur. Volunteers assisted hospital patients with OPD services, promoted cataract surgeries, and informed them about health insurance schemes like Ayushman Bharat.
At Jakheni Chowk, volunteers worked alongside Traffic Police, spreading awareness on road safety. Dy S.P Traffic Jitendra Singh briefed the volunteers on the importance of helmets and seat belts, inspiring them to educate the public. District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta highlighted the series of Diwali events by NYK Udhampur, encouraging youth registration on the MY Bharat portal and participation in the mission for a "Viksit Bharat" by 2047. |
