DBP, MA Sports Clubs win gold | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 4: The Junior District Kabaddi Championship, organized by the Jammu District Kabaddi Association in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, concluded with DBP Sports Club winning gold in the Boys' section and MA Sports Club in the Girls' section. The event took place at the Kabaddi Stadium, Jammu, with participation from teams across the district. In the Boys' final, DBP Sports Club defeated Vimal Vidyalya with a score of 34 to 12, clinching the gold medal. Vimal Vidyalya took silver, while National Sports Club secured bronze after a narrow win over Glacier Club. In the Girls' final, MA Sports Club outperformed National Sports Club Nagrota, scoring 28 points to claim the gold, leaving National Sports Club with silver. KV Universal Tigers took bronze in a close match against Vimal Vidyalya. The championship was graced by the presence of Anil Gupta, President of the Jammu & Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, as the chief guest. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta presided over the event, while S.S. Gill, Surinder Mohan, and Rasvinder Singh attended as Guests of Honor. Also present were senior officials and technical directors involved in the tournament's organization. During the event, Surinder Mohan praised the role of sports in fostering personal development and building resilient communities. He commended the dedication of Kuldeep Gupta, General Secretary of the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, for promoting Kabaddi in remote areas of the Union Territory.
