Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Nov 4: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office Doda, successfully concluded a two-day Photo Exhibition at Government Degree College (GDC), Kishtwar. Prof. Bashrat Iqbal, Principal of GDC Kishtwar, honored the event as the Chief Guest, reflecting the institution's support for initiatives that bridge communication between government schemes and the public. Prof Bashrat Iqbal Principal GDC Kishtwar, said that, The focus on the Three Criminal Laws provides clarity on the steps our government is taking to strengthen justice and ensure the safety of our citizens. It is imperative for every individual to understand these new legal provisions, as they contribute significantly to law, order, and fairness in society. Further he said that the Mission Life and Poshan Abhiyan themes highlight the importance of sustainability and health in our daily lives. Mission Life calls for responsible environmental stewardship, urging each of us to make lifestyle changes that preserve our natural resources for future generations. Meanwhile, he stresses the importance of Poshan Abhiyan nutrition, especially among mothers and children, reminding us that a healthy community begins with a healthy foundation. He appreciates the Central Bureau of Communication for this powerful outreach effort. It is my hope that each attendee leaves inspired to apply the knowledge gained here today in ways that strengthen our society and nurture a brighter future for all." In the welcome address, Shri Vikram Uppal, In-charge of CBC Doda, Ramban, and Kishtwar, introduced the CBC's objectives and the various themes of the event. Highlighting the role of CBC in public awareness, he shared insights into ongoing programs focused on social welfare and development. The exhibition featured expert lectures by notable speakers, including Shri Rohit Sharma, Sub Inspector of the J&K Police Department, who provided a comprehensive overview of the new criminal laws, their implications, and public safety. Additionally, Dr. Tabassum and Dr. Shabnam delivered insightful presentations on "Mission Life" and the "Poshan Abhiyan," encouraging audience engagement in these vital areas. Shri Gurnam Singh, In-charge of CBC Udhampur, covered various schemes extensively, including "Swachhta Hi Seva," the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), and the Central Monitoring & Outreach Team (CMOT). His lecture inspired the audience with practical ways to integrate these schemes into everyday lives, emphasizing their benefits and impact. The program was enriched by cultural performances from M/s Nagani Cultural Troupe, empanelled with CBC, offering a vibrant showcase of regional artistry. Several local departments such as ICDS, JKAP, and ITI Kishtwar also participated, Prof. Essar ul Ayub presented the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, contributors, and attendees.
