Early Times Report KATHUA, Nov 6: Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua conducted its first-year enrolment for the Girls' NCC Battalion of Jammu, marking an empowering milestone for young women in the region. The event saw enthusiastic participation from female students eager to join the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and embrace the values of leadership, discipline, and national service. Under the guidance of Principal Prof. Seema Mir, the enrolment aimed to develop essential skills like teamwork, resilience, and patriotism among cadets. Prof. Mir encouraged the recruits to make the most of their training, which will prepare them for leadership roles across sectors. Supervised by Sub Tsering Punchok of 2 J&K Girls Battalion NCC, Jammu, the session introduced cadets to the NCC's values of discipline and service. The program offers opportunities in character-building, fitness, adventure, and community service, setting the stage for a transformative journey for the young women of GDC Kathua. |
