JAMMU, Nov 8: Congratulations to our Class 8 student, Sahil Mahajan, for his outstanding achievement at the 1st Kingdom of Chess International Open FIDE Rated Chess Tournament 2024! Starting at rank 171, Sahil climbed to an impressive rank 84 and won a cash prize of Rs 8000 for his remarkable performance.
Sahil has made our school immensely proud as the first FIDE-rated student from Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, under the aegis of FIDE, AICF, RCA, and UDCA, with an initial FIDE rating of 584. His success is a testament to his hard work and the dedicated support of our principal, Mili R Sumbria, and our inspiring chess coach, Ravi Sir.
