UDHAMPUR, Nov 8: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai chaired a comprehensive review meeting of officers from various line departments to assess the physical and financial progress achieved under the District Capex Budget, Aspirational Block Development Programme, Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme and Block-wise status of other works. The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh; Chief Planning Officer, Mohd Iqbal and other senior officers of the concerned departments, besides all Block Development Officers. At the onset, the ADDC provided an overview of the progress of projects initiated under the District Capex Budget. The DC took a detailed review of each project undertaken by the executing agencies, emphasizing the need for timely completion of pending works. She urged the departments to expedite the remaining works to meet stipulated deadlines. Directing the BDOs, DC called for an accelerated pace in project implementation, emphasizing strict adherence to timelines. BDOs were instructed to prioritize the tendering, allotment and commencement of any pending projects. The DC also highlighted the importance of improving expenditure bookings, setting a target for at least 70% of expenditure booking to be achieved. Stressing on quality control, she directed the executing agencies to conduct regular site visits to ensure that all work maintains high standards and is completed without compromise on quality. |
