Early Times Report RS PURA, Nov 12: The Women Development Cell of Government Degree College R.S. Pura recently organized a slogan writing competition on female health and hygiene, under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Preetpal Kour and Dr. Neena Gupta Rohmetra, Convener and Head of the Department of English. The event aimed to promote awareness about menstrual hygiene, emphasizing its importance for physical health, mental well-being, and gender equality. More than 40 female students participated enthusiastically, creating impactful slogans that highlighted issues like menstrual education, access to products, and the importance of hygiene. Trisha Sharma secured the first prize, while Sunaina Devi and Komal Devi placed second, followed by Khushi Sharma and Shikha Devi in third place. The jury included Dr. Neeru Sawhney, Head of Physics, and Dr. Shivani Manchanda, Head of Economics. Prof. Shifali Abrol, Prof. Radhika Mahajan, and Dr. Savleen Kour also attended, with Dr. Kour coordinating the event. The principal praised the organizing committee's efforts and encouraged students to apply these guidelines in their daily lives for holistic well-being. |
