JAMMU, Nov 12: In a bid to enhance practical learning and industry exposure, Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Jammu, organized an industrial visit to Flexicom Industries Pvt. Ltd. in Kathua on November 11, 2024. Under the guidance of Principal Er. Suket Gupta, the visit aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications.
Students from the Textile Designing Department (1st and 3rd semesters) and OM&CA (3rd and 5th semesters) had the chance to tour Flexicom Industries' state-of-the-art facilities. Accompanied by faculty members including Er. Kamal Kumar, Head of the Textile Designing Department, and lecturers Seema Pandita and Shiveta, the students explored various aspects of the company's operations, from manufacturing processes to quality control and technological advancements.
During the visit, the students engaged with industry experts and participated in a Q&A session with Dharmendar Kauntey, VP of Operations at Flexicom Industries. Kauntey provided career guidance, shared industry insights, and discussed emerging trends and challenges in the field.
