KULGAM, Nov 12: Under the Government of India's Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), JKSPYM SLCA J&K organized a one-day training program for Master Volunteers in Kulgam. Held at the Mini Secretariat's conference hall, the event aimed to equip volunteers with essential skills to combat substance abuse in the district. Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Mr. Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan, along with ADC Vikar Ahmad Giri and DSWO Mr. Muzaffar Ahmad Malik, attended the event. Mr. Khan emphasized the urgency of addressing rising substance abuse among J&K's youth and encouraged volunteers to maximize their learning. The training, led by SLCA J&K resource persons, included sessions on drug information, local NMBA initiatives, intervention strategies, and volunteer responsibilities. Concluding with a certificate distribution, the program trained around 84 Master Volunteers in tackling drug-related challenges in their communities. |
